Planning sessions are a great time to bring in your salon’s top performers, your key players at the front desk, and your management team, to have everyone sit down and take a deep look at what’s working and what’s not working with your current marketing tactics.
Why You Should Have a Marketing Planning Session?
A planning session will force you and your team to realign your efforts, andit will give you the opportunity to look at what’s working. A chance to review your return on your marketing and advertising investments (whether that’s a financial or time investment) and decide if it’s worth continuing. It’s also a great time to brainstorm new tactics if current ones aren’t working. When you have all of your best players in the room, it provides a lot of brainpower to think of new, innovative, and fresh ideas to disrupt your market and earn more for your salon.
How Often Should You Have a Marketing Planning Session?
At the very least, you should be holding an annual marketing planning session. But, just like New Year’s resolutions, companies can often drift from their original strategy or lose some of their fire and motivation. I recommend having a planning session at the beginning of every business quarter, so four times a year. By refocusing your team every few months, you will keep momentum going all year long! And, you will see better results from your marketing and advertising efforts!
