Meet Your Stylist is the only match-making survey tool on the market for salon owners! The Meet Your Stylist tool lives on your website and helps new clients get matched with the right stylists at your salon. It’s a fantastic tool for many reasons: client acquisition and retention, client loyalty and satisfaction, stylist retention…the list goes on. However, one of the best things about this tool is that it also functions as a perfect marketing campaign for your salon!
Today, I want to dedicate this blog post to walking you through one of the best marketing campaigns you can use for your salon. In fact, Meet Your Stylist won Best Marketing Campaign in 2017 from Business Excellence Forum!
First, when you become a Meet Your Stylist salon, your stylists will fill out their own survey. Then, you have new clients (or current clients) fill out the same survey, and it will match your clients to the top three stylists in your salon that are the best fit for them. This entire process helps alleviate the fear of going to a new stylist for the first time.
It’s also a great tool because it catches people’s attention and entices them to take the survey. Let’s be honest, we’ve all given into click bait that takes us to a quick survey or quiz. Why? Because for some reason humans really like taking fun online surveys! So, that right there is the first big seller of this marketing campaign. You get an automatic, enticing call-to-action to use in your marketing efforts.
Once you have Meet Your Stylist set up for your salon, you will get a unique survey link that will live on your salon’s website. Now, to make this survey work as a marketing tool, you need to put it to work! I’ve outlined three simple steps to help you get started.
Step 1: Share the survey in multiple places on your website. Have a link on the homepage, footer, and even consider a pop-up. It’s also a good idea to include a survey link under each stylists’ bio on your team page. If you don’t have a team page, I highly recommend creating one. At my salon, Be Inspired Salon, our team page is our most visited page. Why? New clients want to find a stylist they trust. So, by including your Meet Your Stylist link under each person, with a small call-to-action to take the quiz, you are helping build that trust with your client before they enter your salon.
Step 2: Share the crap out of this link in your social posts, emails and even in your salon! Encourage people to take your fun survey and see the new matches (and appointments) roll on in. This step is where you can get really creative with your marketing efforts. For example, you can tie this survey into smaller promotions, say for Valentine’s Day.
Step 3: Follow up with your new matches. One of the great features of Meet Your Stylist is the emails that you collect when people fill out the survey. Don’t let this go to waste! With the Meet Your Stylist tool, you will be able to see which stylists people matched with and whether or not they’ve booked an appointment. This information is powerful! Use it to create personalized follow up emails to encourage them to book an appointment.
